Rob Thomas - Little Wonders (Meet the Robinsons Soundtrack)
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but for the first time Rob Thomas manages to knock me off my feet with this hit single which he released in January early this year. I’m usually quite resistant to Rob’s stuff because there’s something about his voice that aggravates me. However, this song is way different, for some reason.
The song is part of the soundtrack of a new computer-animated film produced by Walt Disney called Meet the Robinsons, which was just released a week ago in US and UK. I’ve yet to see the movie (usually I’m not big on computer-animated films, but few of them manage to be really entertaining for me like The Incredibles).
Anyways, back to the song. Although it’s quite short, it’s still manages to combine the best of elements any song could offer: meaning and melody. The starting and ending are simply beautiful and smooth. The song captivates your senses when played loud and is really a soul lifter.

Lyrics
let it go,
let it roll right off your shoulder
don’t you know
the hardest part is over
let it in,
let your clarity define you
in the end
we will only just remember how it feelsour lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remainlet it slide,
let your troubles fall behind you
let it shine
until you feel it all around you
and i don’t mind
if it’s me you need to turn to
we’ll get by,
it’s the heart that really matters in the endour lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remainall of my regret
will wash away some how
but i can not forget
the way i feel right nowin these small hours
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away but these small hours
these small hours, still remain,
still remain
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away
but these small hours
these little wonders still remain

I saw Marisol Thomas (Mrs. Rob Thomas) featured in an “Instyle” a few years back. Their house is amazing! Very simple, classic. I love the huge mirror behind the piano. And, the teak icons was so beautiful. Completely defines Marisol…imho. I think so does this song. :)
