Enrique Iglesias – Tired Of Being Sorry
After 3 years of musical absence, the magnificent and talented Grammy Award-winning Enrique Iglesias returns with an album that falls nothing short of its predecessors. Honestly, even if Enrique didn’t call this album Insomniac (referring to the many sleepless nights he spent perfecting the tunes in this album), one can easily recognize the amount of hard work that went into making this album a really enjoyable one. I really appreciate artists who put down the effort in making a decent record, and "decent" isn’t good enough word here to describe this amazing and varied album.
Stripping away the Spanish tracks that are mostly translation of their English counterparts in the same album, the rest of the English songs are so good that I had a hard time picking one to recommend in this post. I didn’t want to post all of the songs because I want you guys to go out and buy the album, because this way we can all show Enrique how we appreciate his hard work and dedication to pleasing his fans.
When I go through an entire new album, there is usually one song that just begs for another listen once you play it the first time. In this case, Enrique’s cover of Ringside’s 2005 single Tired Of Being Sorry was the one to really stand out of the rest. It has a kind of intoxicating upbeat rhythm that is accompanied by beautiful Spanish guitar. However, I really don’t get the message of the song. I think it has something to do with vampires and demons. Quite an odd subject, or is it symbolic for something else? If you have any clue, please do enlighten me :)

I loved your post on this CD. Want you to know that I accidentally rated your blog with only 1 star, wanted to give you 5 stars but hit the wrong button. Apologize. It’s a 5 star blog! Enrique is incredible, this CD is incredible, and it’s good to hear someone appreciate the hard work he put into this. So many critics are so unfair. Happy to read this good review.

That’s OK Sarah don’t worry about it. Glad you enjoyed the song and the site in general. I too was disappointed with some of the bad reviews about this album so I purposely wrote mine stressing how really good the album is, and not only from personal but artistic point of view.

I so love the new album from Enrique!
Insomniac really rulez and when you listen to album the first time you will get addicted to it and experience a little Insomnia for yourself! Because you want to repied every song a 1000 times!

heey nice report about enrique’s new album.
and despite of my somwhat different music taste; rock/emo/screamo/hardcore rock, i’m still very addicted to enrique iglesias’ new album.
you did a very good pick on Tired of Being Sorry,
it’s indeed a song to replay, since it’s so good and catchy to listen.
and next tot hat, the lyrics are too damn good to understand at first.
that’s what makes it even better!!
well firstly; the best lyrics are lyrics when you can’t find out the real meaning behind it, but you just make it as you want it,
but as far as i can tell it does have to do with vampires.
but in the meaning of; how vampires are known as lonely and failing creatures doing it all from the wrong effective way.

but tro make the long story short; vampires = lonley and failing creatures = what he feels like = the deepness behind the lyrics.
:) hope it’s kinda clear, my english isn’t so good so sorry if there’s something you can’t understand hehe.

Yeah I guess I get the picture here. Wasn’t obvious to me at first, thanks god the tune was so catchy I got hooked despite the somewhat ambiguous lyrics.

It is very good, but wasnt this video in one of the seasons of the American top models? It seems different…the version with those model is better….I wonder if I can find it somewhere….

I believe that the message of the song has been somewhat conveyed in the above comments; Igleasias’ accompanying music video did not have much relation to the true intent, instead going to the easier interpretation (basing this entirely on the music video [http://www.stage6.com/user/drake123/video/1868631/Enrique-Iglesias---Tired-Of-Being-Sorry])
Recommended, though: Have you listened to the original duo’s other music? It retains the same emotion and feeling, rarely dipping towards melodramatic weepiness but certainly conveying so much heart. You really must give it a try if you liked this.

I really really enjoyed the song and the video..
As for lyrics I could understand that after he had a fight with this girl, he was feeling lonely. This was the time when he was lured by a vamp and got bitten to become a vampire. He did not want to become a vampire but he was made to be so. And now he wants to come back to life.
But could not understand this:

I just have to admit Wowwww…the sizzling video and the beats with a super voice of Enrique makes the song simply perfect !!! I can hear the song at a stretch for n number times…
